The plumbed and fully tiled honey extraction room occupies about 14sqm(150sqft) and is equipped with a large thermostatically controlled fan-assisted warming cabinet, a Thomas motorised 20 frame radial extractor, uncapping tank, various ripeners and settling tanks, and a Swienty automatic bottling machine. It is possible to process around 450kg or 1000lbs per day. In addition, there are other extractors, a cappings centrifuge, various uncapping knives, and equipment for wax extraction or processing, that can be used occasionally for demonstrations. Blackhorse's bees are producing around 1.5 tonnes (3,400lbs) of packed honey each year. Visit the Gallery to see more of Blackhorse.
